Growing up as a child, the skin on our face and neck is smooth, soft, and wrinkle free.  As we age, the skin looses its elasticity, and we form facial lines or wrinkles.  This results from sun exposure, smoking, skin atrophy, and excessive muscle activity.  Botulinum Toxin A (Botox) injection is a procedure that reduces or elimates the wrinkles of the face and neck.  Botox works best for the horizontal lines of the forehead, gabella (lines between the eyes), neck lines, and for “Crow’s Feet” (wrinkles on the lateral aspect of the eyes).  This is a safe, simple series of injections with a micro-needle to the affected areas.  After injection, you can resume normal activities.  Effects can be seen in a few days and lasts for 3-4 months. Botox is FDA approved for cosmetic procedures.
